SAP performance analysis
When a report takes minutes or overnight jobs don't finish by morning, the cause is usually a few lines of code. We find where the time goes using the system's own measurements, fix it, and measure the result the same way.
Scope
The analysis runs with read-only access. We plan the short traces it needs together with you.
Workload analysis (ST03N)
Which transactions, reports and background jobs consume the most resources, and how response time splits between database, CPU and wait time.
SQL trace (ST05)
Expensive queries, repeated reads inside loops, missing or unused indexes, and fields read for no reason.
Runtime analysis (SAT)
Where the ABAP time goes, down to the method, loop and line.
Background jobs (SM37)
Long-running and overlapping jobs, scheduling, and opportunities for parallel processing.
Short dumps (ST22)
Memory and timeout dumps and recurring errors, dealt with at the root.

On S/4HANA we rewrite code with queries and CDS views that push calculation down to the database.

Frequently asked questions
Can it be fixed without more hardware?
In most cases, yes; slowness usually comes from query or loop structure. If the cause is in the infrastructure, the report says so.
Is measuring in production risky?
No. The analysis uses read-only access; traces are short and planned with you outside peak hours.
How do you measure the improvement?
We measure the same transaction with the same data, before and after the change, using the same method, and hand over both results side by side.
